Bride Wedding Speeches Archives

Looking for a great video that will show you exactly what you should include in your bride speech and toast, then look no further.  This is also a great resource for maid of honor speeches and the men can use it too if they like.  Father of the bride might also find it helpful.

Tom and Jen Wedding 252Because brides don’t usually give speeches, you will want to make sure that your entire wedding party and particularly the person responsible for maitre ‘ding your wedding is aware that you want to give a speech.

Also knowing when best to give your speech is good.  You may prefer to give it before your husband’s or perhaps your brides maid could introduce you.

Whatever your choice, you will want to ensure that you don’t get left out just because you are doing things a little out of tradition.

Hi Everyone,

My name is Michelle. I’ve just got married and at our wedding I wanted to give The Perfect Bride Speech.

This is not as easy as you would think. My first problem was trying to figure out what I should say. Brides don’t generally speak at weddings, so there are no hard and fast rules. I didn’t want to get it wrong though, so I did a lot of research.

From knowing what to include to finding respectable jokes to use, my search was long and hard until my father asked for help with his speech. Father of the bride speeches are far more common and when I found a book with some great templates for him, I noticed they had a section about speeches for the blushing bride , so I got that too.

There were a whole lot of templates to use, tons of one liners and some fantastic jokes that really suited my rather conservative grandparents without being too boring. It also included some relaxation techniques and tips on how to ensure that your speech goes off without a hitch.

I landed up taking a lot of ideas from the book including using lyrics from a very famous song as the punchline of my joke. For our first dance, I asked the musicians to play that song which had everyone laughing again.

There were so many great ideas and quotes I could have used that I joked with my father that maybe I needed to renew my vows yearly in order to get through some of the other ideas that I liked.

By the way my dad’s speech was just brilliant and I’m so happy that I found this book.

I hope this has been helpful and maybe my chance find will help you to give your dream speech.  From one blushing bride to another – Congratulations and I wish you all the happiness you can experience.

I found this video online and thought it would help all those ladies out there who are struggling to get prepared for their wedding speeches.

Take a quick look at this.

If you are prepared, you will have less to worry about on your special day.  Trust me when I tell you that there are going to be enough other things to worry about without having to worry about the bride wedding toasts.

Your first step is to find a collection of bride speech examples that will help you get an idea of what is a good speech and what should be included.  There is a certain amount of wedding etiquette that is important to keep to.  Even if you are unconventional, you’ll want to make a speech that is memorable for all the right reasons.

What You’ll Want to Include In Your Speech

When looking for examples, a collection of classic bridal wedding speeches that you can pick and choose sections from will help you get that perfect personal speech for you.  The layout of the best speeches always follows the same theme, so you don’t have to start from scratch – you just have to make it your own.

You’ll also want to include a few one-liners or jokes that will keep your wedding toast light-hearted and memorable.  This is another great way to introduce something that is personal to you, but without getting to personal or to outlandish.  Knowing what works will help you get a better idea for your own funny bits.

Finally, you may want to include some personal poetry or lyrics that say exactly what you really mean to say without sounding corny.  My choice of song lyrics became the punch-line to my one-liner.  It had everyone in fits of laughter and when we the first bar of that song came up as our first dance song – the roof almost came down with the burst of laughter from everyone.

There are also probably going to be many people to thank and you won’t want to forget anyone – including granny who is sitting at the back with a bottle of champagne as I almost did.  With so many things on your mind – being prepared will make the whole experience exactly what you want it to be – UNFORGETABLE!

Wedding speeches are such an important part of the day. For myself, my husband and our parents, this is our time to say thank you and to show a little of what we are to our friends and family. Wedding speech jokes are a great way to keep your speech light and fun, but there is more to the speech than funny wedding speech one liners.

I didn’t pay much attention to other peoples toasts at weddings until my husband proposed to me. Then there were no weddings to attend until my own, which meant that I didn’t have the chance to see a wedding speech in action until my big day, so I went on Youtube and watched other people online to get a better idea.

Some of those speeches were pretty good. There were loads of best man speeches to look at as well as quite a few farther of the bride speeches, but not a lot for the bride herself. My maid of honour was also finding it rather difficult to know what her speech should include.

Don’t Forget Wedding Etiquette

There is a certain amount of wedding etiquette when it comes to making wedding toasts. I had no idea, but getting the order right for thank you’s alone will help your speech sound a lot more natural. Another great tip was ending on a high note, such as a joke is always a good idea and for anyone not really able to put their thoughts into words, copying someone else’s words can be a great help too. Just think of your favourite love song or a memorable peom for inspiration.

Deliver Your Speech Like a Pro

I think that the biggest help that I got from the book we got was the chapter on how to remain calm and how to deliver the speech like a pro – even when you have no public talking skills and have never stood before people to make a toast. Just being prepared and keeping the alcohol to a minimum until your bridal speech is over will help, but there are so many other great ways to keep the nerves at bay.
Although I was the one to get the Wedding Speech Guide Book, the whole family landed up using it, from best man all the way to father of the bride. There were so many really good wedding speech examples that catered for everyone that we all managed to put together totally unique and rather entertaining – even if I say so myself – speeches.

Watch a few wedding speech videos I’ve put together to see how other ladies did it.

Getting married is a once in a lifetime experience – well at least for the fortunate few. Giving bride speeches has to be one of the most stressful experiences. I know it was for me. Standing in front of all my family and friends, wanting to add humor without sounding silly and wanting to sound confident and convincing when my little white stockinged feet were shaking in my little white shoes.  Not an easy task.

Before I got married, I wanted our wedding vows to be personal and heartfelt, but I also wanted us both to have the opportunity to address our love for each other at the reception. It was my dream to be able to speak at my wedding, but when it came to writing my wedding speech, I had no idea where to start.

Spiking Your Speech With Humor!

I wanted to add some unique humor into my speech, but didn’t really know where to put it or how personal a blushing bride should be.  Getting a clear idea of how to set out a speech to include everything without leaving anything in the wings was very helpful.

A funny bride speech is all about getting timing right.  When you’re not a natural it helps to keep the speech feeling natural.  Sometimes it helps to slow things down when your nervous, which gives you time to breath between sentences.

Remembering Not To Forget Anyone.

When under the spotlight, it is often difficult to remember everything you need to remember.  Having your bridal speeches prewritten and getting in a rhythm will help to keep your mind focused on what you need to say and when.  It also helps to keep the champagne to a minimum until the wedding toasts have been delivered.  My bridesmaid also used got help with her bridesmaid speech and she did a great job too.

I think the most useful thing was to have example bride speeches to choose from.  My dad had such a great selection of father of the bride speeches to chose from that he landed up with the best wedding toast of all.  Having a funny wedding speech full of wedding speech jokes is one way to get a response, but a heartfelt toast to the bride and groom is always well received.
