Giving a Great Speech
Have you been practising your bride speech? Does it sound ok to you? Why not try it out on your maid of honor – she’s your best friend and will give you an honest opinion. Here are some other tips that will help with your speech delivery.
The first tips is to build up your confidence. Practising your speech will help to give you confidence. Also remember that this is your day, so everything will work out just fine.
Also remember to include those very important people in your life in your speech. Your parent, grandparents and husband are the most important. Each will feel so honoured by your words and this is what it’s all about.
You should include a few personal stories. These could be funny or just poignant and memorable. If you can’t come up with anything, you can always use words by other people that say what you want to say. Song lyrics and poetry often work very well.
Including a word to your new parent in law is also good form and thanking all those who have made the day so memorable such as helping staff and contributors will also be a great way to end off your speech.
If you don’t have any ideas that come to mind, you could always look at some great speech templates to get yourself started. Once you get the ball rolling, you’ll be amazed at how easy it all is.
